Gynecology is the area of medicine concerned with looking after women, with special attention to their reproductive system. Besides worrying about the womb, vagina and ovaries, it may also follow a patient´s gestation with obstetricians.

The main problems treated by the gynecologist are: cancer, urinary incontinence (which may also be treated by urologists), period pains, absence of periods and infertility.
