HLPA

Differences between the types of operation: Mini lipo, lipo light and HLPA

Mini lipo or lipo light is the lipoaspiration of small body areas in which the famous concentrated fat is present. It is a surgical procedure carried out with local anesthesia. There is no necessity for hospitalisation for this kind of surgery, so the patient can go home at the end of the procedure.

Recovery is faster and post-operatory less painful, and with less hematomas than conventional lipoaspiration. Certainly, this kind of procedure offers more comfort, safety and less cost. A careful previous evaluation and the performance of intervention by a specialist are fundamental for a good surgical result.

HLPA is also known as aspirative hydrolipoclasy, which comprises the association of traditional lipoaspiration with hydrolipoclasy. In this surgical procedure a smaller quantity of fat is aspirated in small areas of the body, as in mini-lipo, however, with the utilisation of ultra-sound machines after local anaesthesia aiming at facilitating the breakdown of fat.

Disadvantages of Mini or Light lipo

Due to the fact that it removes a smaller volume of fat in small areas of the body, in mini-lipo there is a bigger chance of irregularities and dissatisfaction with the quantity of fat lipoaspirated.

Disadvantages of HLPA

HLPA is performed by parts on the body, which is why many sessions are necessary, with recoveries and procedures. As a result, it ends up costing more than conventional lipoaspiration. Irregularities are also more than lipo done at once.
